WAM
This semester we focused on community based work in our studio. Some worked on designing the lobby space of the Greensboro Historical Museum and successfully portraying an identity. Another section of the group worked with the interior of the Industries of the Blind and designing across multiple senses. I was part of the team that worked to create a beautiful cabinet for the Weatherspoon Art Museum.
The Weatherspoon Art Museum gift shop is tucked away in a little corner of the lobby, and therefore, is often overlooked. The cabinet would take the merchandise out of the confines of the gift shop, and lead vistors in. Frank Cheney developed the shell of a cabinet, and my group and I helped it evolve and come into existence.
